Movie Summary :

Vaanam is Basically Made Up of 5 Stories:

Story 1: Bharath Chakravarthy (Bharath) is an aspiring rock star. His mother wants him to serve army just like his deceased father. Chakravarthy wants to follow his heart to become a rock star. He starts from Bangalore to Hyderabad to give his first live performance.

Story 2: A Farmer's story. His grandson is a bright student. Farmer owes 50000 rupees to a financier and the financier takes farmer's son as a daily labour. Farmer desperately needs money to get his kid back and put him in school. He finds a way of procuring the money and visits Chennai along with his daughter-in-law for that purpose.

Story 3: Saroja (Anushka) is a prostitute in Amalapuram. She works for a brothel company and she gets a cut of 20% as the pimp takes away rest of it. Her dream is to go to Chennai and start her own brothel company. She dupes her employer and flees to Chennai overnight with her hijda assistant.

Story 4: Raheemulla Khureshi (Prakash Raj) gets discrimnated in Chennai for being a muslim and he wants to leave for Dubai to make a living out there. He gets his visa and was about to fly to Dubai from Chennai. But his past catches up with him.

Story 5: Cable Raju (Silambarasan) is a cable operator in the slums of film nagar. He gets hold of a rich girlfriend (Deeksha Seth). He dupes her saying that he is rich kid and spends lot of money on her. She asks him to take her to New Year party eve for which the entry ticket costs rs. 40000 per couple. He is in search of that money.

Movie Summary :

Outspoken and overly critical Nishant Agarwal meets gorgeous new co-worker, Charu, offers his help, assists her financially, and they become close friends. His room-mates, Rajat and Vikrant, are pleased with this outcome as they already have girlfriends in Neha and Rhea respectively. But both the relationships are not as harmonious, as Rajat feels Neha is self-centered and demanding, while Rhea appears to be withdrawn and aloof. Movie Summary :

The film revolves around a photojournalist Ashwin (Jeeva), who works for a leading newspaper often breaking the news against the leading politicians (Prakash Raj and Kota Srinivasa Rao). Vasanth (Ajmal), an aspiring politician works ardently along with his political party ‘Siragugal’. Assigned with the coverage of political parties involved in election campaigns, Ashwin gets into the task of revealing the dark side of these politicians that pulls them down with status. On hosting a grand youth rally, Vasanth and his team of youngsters are involved in delivering speeches that is shattered with a bomb blast resulting in the gruesome death of innocent souls that includes Ashwin’s colleague Saro (Pia). What happens now is whether Vasanth pulling himself away from the political dreams. But, Ashwin supports him to accomplish with his dreams. What unfolds next is a series of twists and turns with an unexpected shock awaiting everyone in climax.
